What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Experience the profound healing power of Craniosacral Therapy. Unlock your body’s natural ability to restore balance, reduce stress, and alleviate chronic pain. Don’t wait – invest in your well-being and embrace a life of greater health and vitality.
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) uses a light touch. It is a very relaxing, soothing session, about 40-50 minutes in length. It’s very comfortable and convenient. You remain fully clothed, lying on a warm massage table, with your eyes closed, relaxing to soothing spa music.
What are the Benefits of Craniosacral Therapy?
There are advantages to CST versus chiropractic adjustment. CST uses light touch which releases tension deep within the body. There are no vigorous adjustments or manipulations. It is an excellent option for those who cannot withstand chiropractic adjustment including those with osteoporosis, spinal surgeries and other surgeries such as spinal fusions and open heart surgery.
It provides a holistic approach to the nervous system. It may treat side effects of cancer treatments.
It’s gentle enough for newborns, the elderly, the frail, and those who are wheelchair bound.
It works very well with ADD/ADHD, those who are on the spectrum including autism, PTSD, anxiety, balance problems, newborns (great success in proper physical alignment after birthing process), misshapen facial and craniums, concussions, Bell’s Palsy, torticollis, etc. If you’re out of alignment emotionally or physically, it works with regular visits.
CST often addresses emotional and energetic imbalances, supporting mental health alongside physical health. It can be beneficial for conditions like anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
Post-dental jaw pain is a common problem and this will address that in under 15 minutes, sometimes in one session. You can do this on your lunch hour.
Every session “peels” layers of physical and emotional stresses away. The practitioner “taps” into your cranial and sacral system with light touch. The practitioner assists your body in releasing stresses and your body responds by letting go. Most clients fall asleep. After the session, it takes a few minutes for your body to re-align and re-balance. A 2020 study published in BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies, found that CST provided significant relief for people with chronic neck pain.
It was developed in the 1970’s by Dr. Upledger and is based on the idea that gentle manipulation of the skull, spine, and pelvis can improve the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid and help the body heal itself.
